Linen comes from flax which is an annual plant. Historically, flax is one of the most important textile fibers. Its history can be traced back to the Teutonic mythology where flax was under the divine protection of Hulda, the Goddess of weaving, who first taught the mortals how to grow, spin and weave flax into cloth.
